Sportlux

Hi guys,

Today, an outfit post, some pictures taken a few days back, when the sun was still shining and the weather was getting better. It was a nice day, when you could feel warm under the sunshine, hence why I dared to wear a sheer silk top underneath my cardigan.
This look was sportlux, but the colours were all very neutral, so I felt the need to be a bit bolder with my cardigan, which was a perfect match with my lipstick too!

I was wearing:
Cardigan + Necklace + Belt: Vivienne Westwood, Top: Vintage, Trousers: Jigsaw, Trainers: Ash.

 See you soon.

Nail varnish of the week: Chanel April

Hi guys,

We are in May but I just managed to get my hands on April. I came across a swatch whilst visiting a beauty blog and fell in love with it straightaway.
For a while I tried to avoid the unavoidable, by buying some cheap red varnishes to see if I could find a dupe for a colour which I had not even seen in person.
The most amazing thing happened when I actually spotted this amazing berry red colour in someone's hand. I knew there and then that she was wearing Chanel, I just had to ask to make sure, and I couldn't believe myself when that person replied yes, I am wearing April.  I was officially totally fixated by this shade!

It's indeed a gorgeous shade of red berry, with some brown hue on it as well, It's a hard colour to describe and even harder to picture.

Truly quite unique, I found this colour to be classic and yet elegant, plus it goes so well with my skin tone too. I am so in love with it that I will probably run out of it fairy soon and surely I will be re-purchasing it.
Two coats definitely done the job well but the application was a little bit gloopy though.

What do you think of the Chanel nail varnishes? Have you ever purchased any?

See you soon.

Simple

Hi guys,

I am back with a quite basic look. You can never go wrong with a leather jacket, t-shirt and leggings. The t-shirt is longer at the back, a simple detail which makes so comfortable to wear with the leggings, it also looks so All Saints but it's not :-)
On my accessories, I spiced up a bit by wearing my studded boots for a rock and roll vibe. Yeah!

I was wearing:
Jacket: Warehouse, T-shirt: Primark, Leggings:  Ebay, Boots: Topshop, Belt: Vivienne Westwood.

See you soon.

'L'été Papillon de Chanel' Summer 2013 - Makeup collection

Hello everyone,

I am waiting with anticipation for the new Chanel Summer Makeup collection. First of all, I was just checking the new nail varnishes, 3 gorgeous limited edition colours that will certainly be a sell out. Azure is a metallic green/blue duo, Bel-Arguz, is a pure blue metallic and Lilis is a coral.
The blogsphere is already going head over heels for Azure, but I have to see it in person. Is it going to be amazing as Peridot? I am also in doubt in which colour I would go for, Azure or Bel-Arguz? Anyways, looking at the promo pictures, I ended up falling I love with the whole collection. The colours are just fantastic, specially the different mascaras! I am amazed by them.
Check it out.

This is a very clever way to promote the collection by combining the perfect colours to achieve a gorgeous and creative look. I loved the third and the fourth combinations.

I even got very tempted by the lip glosses. OMG, Chanel will burn a hole on my wallet this Spring.

See you soon.

Margiela

Hi guys,

I am so excited! Finally the weather seems to be getting better and I was able to leave home just like this, mixing a few pieces from H&M with a few older ones. For the first time I wore my Maison Margiela, re-edition, lining top. It was part of the men's collection and it was one of the items, I snapped afterwards, when everything was on sale.
I wanted to wear a mix of navy and black. I know not everyone thinks that those colours go well together, but I do, I think is a very elegant combination, in fact.
So, I started with the top and the jacket and went for a light grey jeans at the bottom to break things up and to lighten the look a bit. All very basic.

I was wearing:
Jacket + Top: Martin Margiela x H&M, Necklace: Marni x H&M, Jeans: Topshop, Bag: Fendi, Shoes: Office.

PS: The major nightmare is that, this fabric creases badly because it's made of lining material, that sort of satin that lines your coat and it's extremely unforgiven. I must say I was quite disappointed after taking my jacket off, which is a shame because I love the concept of it but in reality it doesn't work so well.

See you soon.

The best top 10 DIY makeup storage tips

These are some of my favourite tips, I've used. They are all very easy, simple, cute and practical ideas, which really don't cost much at all, since most of the materials are recyclable. Plus, using your imagination and perhaps a lick of paint, you could give those basic items a unique look.

 1. Give new life to an old mirror using it as a perfume tray.

2. Recycle your lovely candle/ cute jam jars, they are great as brush holders.

3. Don't let your brushes collapse one on top of the other. Coffee beans and rice are ever so practical to keep your brushes upright and away from each other.

4. Cake stands are another cute storage solution.

5. Yummy and great for recycling, this Ferrero box could be perfect to store mascaras or lipsticks.

6. A painter's brush holder is so cheap and yet extremely useful. Just what to you need to dry your brushes after washing them and it can be used as a permanent holder too.

7. A cutlery set is the most basic way to get organising.

8.  A letter tray is great to hold some palettes.

9. Ribba (this little piece of wood, it's a kind of mini shelf) is just perfect for the ultimate nail varnish collection.

10. Too much stuff lying about and not enough bathroom space? Go vertical, with an old school shoe rack. It will fit everything in it,  good for makeup brushes too.

Hope you enjoyed.
