Moving and motion

Hi guys,

I have an outfit post with a difference today. My first animated post. I hope you will get the feel of my rock and roll mood. I was excited to learn how to do this on photoshop and really excited because it works. Cool!

Nice weather today, one of the last chances to wear the mini shorts this year, although it was lovely and sunny, the summer has officially gone and tights are required. The ones I am wearing today by Wolford are perfect because they do adapt to the weather and you can always feel comfortable.
Mixed up with some leather and black nails, the look was rock and roll with a casual attitude.

The Mikey Mouse t-shirt, which I love, an old buy from Ebay. I wanted a cool vintage looking Mikey Mouse tee, I can't really remember how much it was but let's say it was about a fiver, we're talking a few years ago. Anyways a couple of week after I had bought mine, I saw a picture of Rihanna wearing something very similar. It's quite an old photo, but do you guys remember?

I swear, I bought mine first!

You saw it first at Pretty Portobello

Hello guys,

I hope all of you had a good, relaxing bank holiday. It's so sad, this is the last Bank holiday of the year... Anyways, I had a really good time, learning how do to do some new things on the photoshop and reading some magazines.

Catching up on my monthly subscription of 'In Style' magazine, October's issue, I came across this page!
Much to my surprise, proudly on number 5 of their top 10 cool scarves, is the skull scarf, the one I have reviewed for Very.co.uk.

Back in June...

When I selected this scarf to review it, I was surprised that I had not seen it featured anywhere. It was just such an AMAZING FIND... I am glad to see that I am not alone on my good choices, because it definitely makes to my top 5 scarves too.
It's indeed a fabulous skull print and if you love skulls like me you will not get enough of it. A total bargain as well, just £8 it's so cheap and elegant! The next best thing to the LV as pictured above! Well, you saw it first at Pretty Portobello! Have a look at my full review, clicking here.

See you soon.

My heart is locked

Hi guys,

Today an outfit, which I was wearing the other day. I don't wear black head to toe very often but I was feeling very monochrome, one of my ninja moments! Or maybe it's because I just wanted the star of the show to be my new Disney Couture necklace. This amazing Heart Lock necklace, for the Alice in Wonderland collection.

I totally fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. For me it's has a slightly punk appeal to it because it's a padlock, yet very romantic because it's a heart! Together with a few chains and a key, which is ohhh the cutest!

This fabulous necklace was also kindly sent to me, by Made in Wonderland. Thanks so much guys, I am really chuffed with this gorgeous gift! I have been wearing it now for days in a row and got loads of compliments.

That is why I love Disney Couture jewellery, it's so much fun, so cute and really get you noticed.

I had to try - Blue lipstick by Lime Crime

Hello guys,

How to get WELL noticed on the streets? Just wear this blue lipstick by Lime Crime!

I wanted so much to try this lipstick. The only trouble is that I quickly slapped on, as I was applying it with a brush, trying at the shop. I am not very good with lip brushes anyway and therefore I didn't have enough patience to apply it properly. Ideally, I should have taken my time to do a few extra coats to obtain the real vibrancy of it. Still, even the colour being as wishy-washy as it was I never got so many looks in one year as I did walking the 3 blocks from Space NK to my place!

So what do I think of it? I think this colour is really good fun and I like the fact this lipstick is matte, as I said before I believe it would look nicer if I had gone for the more vibrant look.
Make up wise, everything would have to change to use this colour decently, eyes not as heavy as here and a colourful blusher to add some life to my face is super required!

Would I buy it and wear it? Yes I would, although it would take me some time to get used to it too. Specially if I want to be noticed by everyone on the streets!
Well at least I tried it ;-)

Graffiti nails

Hi guys,

Hope you all have been well. I am finally recovering from a horrible cold, which took my energy away for the last few days, I am glad to be feeling myself again and happy to be blogging.

I am posting today about this new nail varnish from a brand, which I hadn't heard of before, a Swedish brand called 'IsaDora'. I came across their American website, but I have not been able to find anywhere selling on the UK yet.

Here is the look, a cool, rock and roll graffiti nail varnish! To achieve this look you simply paint your nails with any desired colour as the base and then you apply this magic IsaDora top coat, which in seconds as it dries, starts to crack, producing the graffiti effect. Easy.

Picture from blog neglelakkmani

There are many colours to choose from for your top graffiti coat! It would be interesting to see them mixed.

I WANT IT NOW!

So, I would love to try this look... I really liked the white and black combination and the yellow and black too. If anyone knows where to buy IsaDora in the UK , please let me know!

See you soon.

Armed but not dangerous

Hello guys,

Have you guys seen the recent pictures of Rihanna, wearing the coolest and most gangsta bag ever?

Behind the brand 'Vlieger & Vandam' is the Dutch duo, Carolien and Hein. They have never studied fashion but they have found a niche market for their irresistible bags and accessories. Now producing 2 collections a year, their products sell in over 50 boutiques around the world, and their much-loved Guardian Angel bag (pictured with Rihanna) was added to MoMA's permanent collection in 2006.

I totally love it! From museum to catwalk in 60 seconds, check it out!

-Click on the picture to enlarge.

An older collection, when bags were made of wool. Cute but not edgy enough...

New collection! I am drooling over those leather designs... in particular the 'indigo' guardian angel which is amazing! But I also like the splattered designs too.

Fully loaded!

See you later.

The soft me

Hello guys,

Because I have been away from blogging for a couple of days, I'm posting twice today. My second post, is an outfit one. I hope you like it!

Choosing soft colours today, my look is a mixture of cream, dusty pink, grey, silver and gold with bright pink gladiator sandals. I had to spice it up somehow!

This pretty silk dress was a bargain, I can't quite remember if was £4 or £3 but it was cheap from a second hand shop, combined with another snap from Ebay, which is this gorgeous Topshop jacket.
Living in London, I had the chance to buy this jacket at the shop but costing £85 originally, I thought it was pricey for me at the time and I didn't fancy paying so much for a sequined jacket anyway. Still, you can find it on Ebay selling for almost the original price, but I suppose I was lucky enough to buy this one for just over £30. Fab!
