Top Wellington Boots

Hi guys,

I hope you all enjoy a small but gorgeous selection of wellington boots I have chosen as my top 6 for this season. They are chic, punky and strongly equestrian inspired. Fierce looking and ready to hit the city! I have also chosen 2 lovely girlie styles too, I loved the subtle detail on the Calvin Klein ones and nothing better to bright my day more than the Chanel camellias.

These boots are a far cry from the ones I have at home, so edgy and fantastically gorgeous, that your feet would be itching to wear them despite the weather.

I do love them all but because I am a rock chick at heart, my very favourites are Dav and Moschino.
How about you?

See you soon.

Patti, on Portobello Road.
She looks great all in black with some lovely accessories such as her fabulous Alexander Wang bag and her scarf, which was done up in a such nice way. I thought it was very original and totally loved it!

Lucy, near Portobello Road.
Another huge trend this season is the camel cape. Nicely worn with an interesting pair of boots and a classic Louis Vuitton bag.

Anabel, on Portobello Road.
I loved her hair and the colours she chosen for this look. She pulled off the checked shirt with the floral DM's, school meets girlie punk. Sweet.

Claudia, near Portobello Road.
I really liked the combination of prints and I am totally loving her chunky cardigan too. (Another Brazilian chick with loads of style. Adorei!)

Emily, on Westbourne Grove
Wearing a lovely trilby hat with a comfy poncho over everything. Perfect for a relaxed afternoon.

Knock on the wood

Hello guys,

Do you need a little bit of luck? Just knock on the wood, but make sure it's the real thing, not like the new Maison Martin Margiela shoes... They were inspired by the Dutch clogs and they are very realistic as they are made of leather! Believe it or not, all the wooden artwork is just a print... Amazing aren't they?

Eco but not cheap, costing over $900! It's the perfect accessory to create your posh Pinocchio look.

Chic Chanel Advert

Hi guys,

Sharing with you some scanned pictures of this posh advertisement from Chanel. Maybe I should have taken a picture of it, so you would be able to see it better... Anyways, it's looks like a little book, on a black, glossy sturdy card. On the front (picture below) is the beautiful bottle of Chanel 5, made up of strings of golden sequins. Very bling, with a great feel to it. Yeah, it's funny but I just love to run my fingers through it, like a harp!

On the inside a glamorous picture of the famous Chanel 5 and on the back the star is Audrey Tautou, looking effortlessly chic.

Anyways, I am not here just to comment about the perfume and the pictures... My real interest on this advert, is how I could DIY it on a T-shirt! Just another idea I had the other day. I could very carefully cut out the sequins from the front page and then glue or stitch them on a T-shirt. Straightway, I would have something new and original. Maybe I could even say that is a Potion 9, Wildfox inspiration, couldn't I?

See you soon.

Hi guys,

I'm enjoying my lazy Sunday afternoon with loads of cupcakes and cream, posting some delicious and very inspiring pictures from the Haute Hippie's Lookbook. This is their new collection and when I came across this lookbook, I immediately fell in love with all the looks straight away.

The collection covers everything that is on trend, skinny leather pants, chic sweatpants, beautiful embroidery skirts, casual tops, wonderful boleros and some amazing party pieces. Not to mention a dazzling array of statement necklaces, reminding me of Tom Binns style.

It's cold... time for over the knee boots

Hello guys,

Today's outfit is already very wintry as it's been so cold in London lately. Gosh, if we are already heading this way, imagine how the winter will be like? Very scary.

Anyways, I am wearing quite a few layers, in case the weather changes. I also dug out my over the knee boots as they are flat and perfect to protect me from the cold when I'm wearing fine, flimsy leggings like these.
I fell totally cosy with a coat thrown on top of everything, but I must admit I actually got a bit warm on my way home as in the temperature in the evening wasn't half as cold, compared to the morning.

Sweatpant chic

Hello guys,

Today an outfit picture and this time I am trying a different trend for the very first time. The sweatpant chic!

The trend came along earlier in the spring, but now is the perfect time of the year to wear them. Comfy, cosy and warm, I love the way that you can make them look very relaxed, with trainers for a day in the park or slightly chic with some high heels. In order to mix it all up, today I went for something in between, wearing them with my Ash wedged trainers.

There are loads of different styles when talking about sweatpants. I like the ones that are a little bit looser, in a 'carrot' shape and low waisted. 'Whistles' always have some amazing ones in their collection, they are gorgeous. I couldn't believe it, not so long ago they went on sale. Unfortunately, I missed the opportunity to buy a pair as they sold out so quickly.
So the search was just starting when I was lucky enough to find something similar at Primark. Good old Primark, came to the rescue with a star price, only £7! What a bargain.

The inspiration...

Casually combined with a little jacket, like me today or again, you could wear it more elegantly together with a structured blazer.

So, what do you like this look? Is it something you would wear?

I was wearing: Pants: Primark, Top: Oasis, Jacket: Topshop, Trainers: Ash.

Hello Kitty ear muffs

Hi guys,

I am ever so sorry for the lack of posting lately, I have taken a few days off, it's been a busy time for me and I really needed a break. In the meantime, I have been checking on your blogs and I hope you all have been well.

Well, tonight's post is all about Hello Kitty! It's been a while since my last Hello Kitty post and there's nothing that cheers me up so much, as our lovely Kitty.

I completely fell in love with these ear muffs as soon as I saw a picture of one of my friends wearing them on Facebook. I instantly knew I had to have them. So, I questioned on my Facebook page where this amazing pair of ear muffs was from, soon my inbox was receiving a few messages. Hurray! Some of my friends who have kids, knew they were from H&M.

So straight after work, I went to my local H&M kids and got a pair. They are gorgeous aren't they?
Only £2,99. An irresistible must buy!

Do you think I can pull this one off?

See you soon.

Hi guys,

Today we are having 2 posts, how exciting! Tonight, I want to tell you about this amazing web site, which I came across the other night and it's truly fabulous.

You know, when you receive an invitation for a fabulous party, wedding or a work do and all of a sudden, you realize you have nothing to wear... Yes, we have all been there and I know the drama really well. All you have in mind is to buy something fabulous and new, especially for the occasion. Well girlies, there is no more need to despair. All you need is to 'meet' your new dress!
'Girls Meets Dress' is an amazing company offering you the hottest gowns in town, FOR HIRE!

Magazine cover fail

Hello guys,

Hope you all have been well. On today's post I would like your opinion, is it a yay or nay?

I couldn't believe when I came across the subscriber's edition cover of Elle, November 2010. I love Elle but unfortunately, in my opinion this Elle cover is a fail, I don't think this picture should be the cover at all. It has no glamour, no effort really.

Alexa Chung, standing in a stupid pose, where you can't even see her face properly and her hair is just lacking lustre and shine. I would not buy it, where is the appeal and the magic that comes within a magazine cover? The rest of it is plain and uninspiring.

I am not one who normally judges magazines covers but this one I just could not help to.

Would you agree with me?

See you soon.

This is me on YouTube! DIY Eye makeup remover

Hello everyone,

I have been thinking of making a YouTube video for a while, but lately I have had so much encouragement from my friends and so many requests via email from you, my lovely readers, that I've finally had the courage and the inspiration to grab the camera and film.

In this video, I am sharing with you, a natural way to make own make up remover. Quite easy, simple and effective. This will even remove waterproof mascara. I love it!

I have to say, I really enjoyed making the video and will have more coming soon as a new feature to the blog, with makeup and fashion tips. It's really good fun but I must admit, I am very much cringing at seeing myself on the screen for the first time, but I hope you guys will enjoy it!

(Cringe, oops... Looking a bit silly on the thumbnail picture!)

Chau Har Lee

Hello guys,

Oh my God! Those were the three words I had in my mind when I came across these amazing, out of this world, collection of shoes. The materials used by the designer are leather, acrylic, mirror and steel. Conceptual and luxury footwear as you have never seen before.

'Chau Har Lee' is a London based designer, she graduated from Cordwainers College in 2002 and has a masters degree in Art. In 2009, she was the winner of the RCA's Manolo Blahnik project, and now spends her time working on her own label and also freelancing for Camper shoes.

What an incredible work! Check it out.

I was completely mesmerized by the pair above, they are a combination of wedges with an ice skating heel!

Fantastic, aren't they?

Visit Chau Har Lee's website for more details. Shoes are available from Selfridges shoe gallery, made to order only.

Jean Paul Gaultier says goodbye to Hermes

Hi guys,

I could not help myself, I just had to post some pictures from the Hermes Spring/Summer 2011 show. It's also Jean Paul Gaultier's last collection for the brand after 7 years as the artistic director of the women's ready to wear.

The show was absolutely stunning, beautifully capturing both essences, Hermes and Gaultier's. The equestrian chic style, which Hermes is strongly known for has just the right dose of Gaultier's kinky touches. Whips, harnesses and corsetry belts taking the catwalk with elegance along sheer fabrics and a lot of leather.

In Gaultier's words his work alongside Hermes was a 'love story' and I think it definitely was one, with a cinematographic end for sure.
Bravo!

See you soon.
