Neon yellow blazing out of the closet

Hi everybody,
My outfit today is a look which is ideal for this time of the year. Still a little cold in the mornings and sunny most of the afternoons, making it ideal to play with a few lighter layers.
You all know how much in love I'm with bright colours right now and I am totally loving my new neon yellow top, which I am wearing here just with an accent of colour,  but it works really well together with my python bag and this really old sarong skirt which I have posted once ages ago, worn as a top.

I was wearing: Jacket: (no label), Top: Whistles, Skirt: from Brazil, Bag: from Ebay, Leggings: H&M Kids, Shoes: Office, Sunglasses: Chanel.

See you soon.

GlossyBox - Harrods Edition- Review

Today, I am reviewing the GlossyBox March, this month it's a very special one. This box was such a surprise, I must say when I opened the protective card box, I was just expecting to find my usual pink box inside. So, I already felt pampered by reading the words 'Harrods Edition' in a rather shine white box.
Inside there were some great little products, all from well known brands.

So, the goodies were:

Valentina (Eau de parfum) by Valentino. (sample size)
I haven't tried it on yet but I will soon.  It's just because most mornings, I immediately reach for my favourite bottles and I ended up forgetting the new samples.

Hypnose Drama Mascara, by Lancome. (sample size)
I loved this straight away because it's so handy to have a small mascara, that fits in your purse/make up bag perfectly. Anyways, I have used many expensive mascaras and loads of cheap ones as well, so price for me doesn't really mean quality when it comes to it, in my opinion. Saying so, I really liked this by Lancome. I am convicted to using my Maxfactor (False lash mascara), but I think this one did the job just as well. Will be a great spare for touch ups on the go.

Sk-II Skin Signature, Anti Ageing Moisturiser (sample size)
Of course, this was the item in the box I liked the most. Skin is a fabulous and very expensive brand and since I am very much into moisturising my face, I couldn't wait to give it a go. I wouldn't say I need to use an anti-ageing cream yet, but I am sure that if I use it, it will not cause me any harm.  It's meant to re-condition the skin and leave the complexion smooth and radiant. The only problem is that the sample is quite small and it will give you just a small teaser of the real benefit of the product. Must I say that my skin did feel amazing afterwards.

Molton Brown, Vitalising Vitamin AB+C Bath & Shower. (travel size)
I really like receiving shower gels in my Glossy box, also a perfect time since I have just finished my Davines body wash, from the previous box. Molton Brown is another brand which I am a fan of and the fruity smell from this shower gel is very pleasant.

Clarins, Extra Firming Body cream. (travel size)
A very rich cream, which I would probably see the results by using a full bottle. Another great little teaser though.

Shu Uemura, Cleansing Beauty Oil. (sample size)
Well, since this is one tiny, tiny sample, I am actually saving it for an emergency. But it looks promising, it's just my kind of cleanser. Again another product that I wish it came as a travel size one but I might really buy this afterwards.

Well, what can I say about my box? (And what can I say about other people's boxes?)

The only item that seemed to be pretty much unanimous was the Clarins cream, which I saw on majority of the boxes reviews.  Most of the boxes seemed to have a bigger perfume sample than mine but to be honest that doesn't bother me much because most of the fragrances given out that size, such as Fan by Fendi and YSL Forever are not really my cup of tea.
I would much rather prefer to have one the Burberry lipsticks or one of the bottles of hair serum by Ojon. In fact the hair serum, would have been on the top of my list.

Anyways, I am happy with what I have but it's a shame that sometimes Glossybox allocate different products in each box. It would be interesting to be able to read and compare opinions by different people on the same products.

Anyways, well done GlossyBox for completely selling out on this edition in a great collaboration with Harrods.

See you soon.

My shoes at Marie Claire - LFW

In a relaxed and comfortable approach to LFW, on day one I wore my Ash trainers and this cool snapshot  taken by Marie Claire was a nice surprise. Although I was already chatting with the owner of those fabulous Isabel Marant's, my old trainers are still rocking!

Marni for H&M - Parka Dress

I was a very naughty girl when almost a week after the launch from Marni x H&M, in a quick visit to Westfields, I suddenly found myself searching on the rails for Marni! There were a bunch of items which had been returned to the store, most of them in my size, so I couldn't help myself in trying them on. Obviously I had to come across something nice, which to be honest was an item I hadn't even noticed before.

I will explain, normally I'm very organised with my hangers, but I was a complete and utter disaster at the H&M launch. Basically, I was excited and clumsy, so I ended up spending most of my 10 minutes picking up the boxes, which I had stocked up on and I was dropping them every 10 seconds! Therefore, I didn't have a proper look on all the items, it was already hard to cope with the boxes, so I just tried to focused on the things I wanted the most. When I came home later that evening, I then took my time searching for all the collection (as you do) and obviously had the chance to think about the things I hadn't picked.
One of this items was this parka dress, which I was really lucky to come across. I had fallen in love with the maxi dress, which has the same 'African' print and as I said I hadn't noticed this before. At the store,  I saw some items, like the skirt and the top on the same print and they were made of cotton and I didn't like them. On the other hand the dress and the shirt, were made of silk but they had a different (purple) print on the back and I didn't like that either. The parka was the only garment that was made of silk and had the same African print all over. It was truly perfect and ticked all the boxes, so that was it. Love at first sight and in my size,  broke the bank but it had to come home with me. :-)

PS: Boyfriend says is 'quite Cheryl Cole', lol... what do you guys think of it? Should I fight for this love?

I was wearing: Jacket: Topshop (old),  Parka + Sunglasses: Marni x HM,  Bag: Zara, Leggings:Primark,  Shoes: Urban Outfitters,  Ring; Monica Vinader,  Necklace and cuff: from Brazil.

Tiffany & Co - Rubedo Collection Launch

A couple of weeks ago I attended to the launch of Tiffany & Co, new and most fantastic metal called Rubedo, which is made of a rich blend of gold, silver and copper and needless to say it's absolutely exquisite and bang on, on the rose gold trend. Rubedo also celebrates Tiffany & Co, 175th anniversary and each piece from the Rubedo collection made in this anniversary year will be inscribed with the signature of founder Charles Lewis Tiffany.

It was a girly evening full of beautiful jewellery,  champagne and pink candy floss. There was also this virtual graffiti wall, where we could use a digital spray can and paint anything we liked on it.
I tried to do mine as quick a possible and it came out so-so, but it was good fun as you can see.

See the Rubedo collection.

Life is bright and orange

Finally the weather is getting better and I am really ready to change my wardrobe and start wearing my warmer clothes. Still, there a little cold breeze in the air, so it's perfect time to mix some knits with lighter items. I was wearing my super bright jumper from Zara (one of the things I got in the sale, if you all remember) which is already on of my favourites. Despite the fact it's so bright, orange is a wonderful colour and it goes well with so many others. Not to simply colour block it, I chose a tartan skirt in the hues of purples and blues, to rock a bit of print in it.

I was wearing: Jumper + Bag: Zara, Skirt: Vivienne Westwood, Shoes: Office, Sunglasses: Polaroid.

LFW - KTZ

I'm posting some pictures from the KTZ (Kokon To Zai) show at LFW. The collection had a strong punk inspiration, many layers in tartan mixed with religious and esoteric prints. It was a mixed collection for men and woman and my favourite outfits were the sequined dresses, which emulated tartan in black and red.

Fabulous shoes.

Marni for H&M - My buys

A few posts back I had blogged about Marni for H&M and how surprised I was with the collection. A few days later, I saw the collection on the window and had the chance to have a very close look at it. I was really impressed by it's quality, which then made me fall even more head over heels for it .
I really wanted the necklaces, both colours because I couldn't chose one and the silk maxi dress was also on my list, but whatever I could get my hands on after that would be a plus.

It was my first time attending one of these collaborations and I think it was well worth it. There was no hassle at Oxford Circus, where I was with about 20 people ahead of me, seriously I couldn't quite believe my luck.

Although the collection is truly lovely, I couldn't go crazy on it, so I got the bits that I really wanted the most and I am very happy with my selection. I got the maxi dress (yay!) and could not resist in adding a couple of dresses to my shopping bag. Accessories wise, I am so excited that I got both necklaces and a pair of sunglasses from the men's range which is nicer than the women's, plus a pair of socks, which I am not too sure about, but they were just £10, so why not.

The cut of the three dresses is fabulous,  they were already on my list of favourites and I am so glad I managed to get them all.  Now, I just can't wait for the summer! Meanwhile, I have already gone out with my necklace, it's quite a heavy piece, wearing the 3 together but such an interesting one, that was the talk of the day.
Unlikely the Versace collaboration, the Marni pieces are really good quality and they look expensive.  I am just hoping that H&M might have another collaboration with Marni soon.  I will be queueing up again as I am certainly hooked on it.

See you soon.
